I have sent you to this country to raise a people for Me
This was God’s word to His Servant, Apostle Wale Tejumade, on Saturday, October 14th, 2017, while on a fast. Apostle had embarked on a seven-day fast from Monday, October 9th to Sunday, October 15th, 2017, based on some instructions he had received from the Lord, and the need to gaining clarity on his future in Canada.
It was while on this spiritual journey that the Lord told him He had sent him to Canada to raise for Him a people – Kingdom Influencers. Aside from the fact that this message came to him exactly a year after he landed in Canada, it was more shocking for him because prior to leaving Nigeria, there was not a single thought or idea to even pastor a church let alone found one even though he had been a minister of the Gospel and serving the Lord through his pastors over the years.
Being a man given to the voice of counsels and surrounded by a number of mentors and fathers in the faith, Apostle went ahead to share his revelations with a number of them and all of them confirmed that he had heard God well. Specifically, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo had told him and his wife at a meeting that the Lord said, “as I was with my servant Moses, so will I be with you”.
Being assured that it was God’s desire to start a church, Apostle swung into action and met with Rev. Victor Adeyemi in Lagos, Nigeria, whom God had instructed him in the revelation to meet for ordination and consecration into ministry.
Armed with nothing but faith in God alone, Apostle Wale Tejumade launched out courageously and started Lofty Heights Christian Centre with his wife and two children at the time. There were no members, just himself and his young family. The church held her first Sunday service on April 1st 2018, at Delta Hotel, 1919 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina. In attendance at that service were about thirty well-wishers.
Lofty Heights Christian Centre was formally launched and inaugurated over the weekend of October 12-14, 2018, at Conexus Arts Centre in Regina by Rev. Victor Adeyemi. Apostle Wale Tejumade was also formally ordained as a Pastor on Sunday, 14th October at the same meeting, which coincidentally was exactly two years after he landed in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada as an Immigrant and one year after his encounter with the Lord, where the instruction to found Lofty Heights was delivered.
To God’s glory alone, the ministry took possessions of her first owned multi-million dollars facility named The Ark on 3005 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina, in December of 2021, barely 3 years after the ministry’s inauguration.
By faith and in obedience to God’s leading, another campus of the ministry was inaugurated in the City of Calgary Alberta on Sunday December 17th, 2023 by Apostle Wale Tejumade, the first of many other expressions to be birthed by God’s grace in Canada.
In the year 2024, January, the Apostolic phase of the ministry was launched and God’s servant was ordained by Pastor Kunle (PK) Olawale into the Office of an Apostle. Since the ordination, the ministry has taken the Gospel of Christ into other cities within Canada.
To God’s glory, from humble beginnings of preaching to only six members and now to multiple hundreds on a weekly basis, our church has seen many lives transformed and discipled since inception and we have experienced the faithfulness of the Lord on a consistent basis in growth.
As a ministry, our testimony is that to the glory of God, the Owner, Founder and Builder of His Church, Lofty Heights has never experienced a better last year – every year gets better than the previous. Each year takes us farther and further into God’s unending wonders and plans for our lives. The path of the just indeed shines brighter, and we are a people truly helped by YHWH.
